1st Annual Trunk or Treat Recap

November 6, 2018 1 Comment Share

This past summer, our Children’s Ministries team had the idea to put on a “Trunk or Treat”. The plan was to open up the parking lot of the church, invite people to decorate their cars, and hand out candy to kids as a safe, fun trick or treating option. It was also a great way to engage the families at the St. Andrew’s Preschool and people within the surrounding community. The goal was to have 50 cars sign up for around 200 kids from the community.

Little did we know that by the end of the night, we would have 52 cars decorated to the nines and over 500 people in attendance! We could not have been more blown away! We sold out of hot dogs and even ran out of candy.

The response was amazing. The families of our Preschool-aged kiddos were especially happy, as it provided a fun and safe candy-collecting option. Overall, we consider our first annual Trunk or Treat a raging success! Make sure to join us next year for more fun Fall events.
