30,000 Meals Packed!

July 20, 2015 3 Comments Share

On July 15, over 175 people of all ages from the St. Andrew’s family rallied to pack 30,000 meals for orphaned and destitute kids in Uganda. 30,000 meals!!!!

After a quick briefing, and some awesome hairnets, each table worked together in assembly line fashion to pack the bags. Each bag contains a cup of soy, a scoop of dehydrated vegetables, a packet of 21 vitamins and minerals, and a cup of rice to top it off. Bags are then weighed, sealed, counted and packed to go in each box for shipping! This was such a fun way to serve together as a church body from ages 2 on up!

Our next Family Friendly Serve Opportunity is on Wednesday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. in Dierenfield Hall. Come and learn about the foster care system and help to make this year’s Birthday Party at Royal Family Kids’ Camp the most memorable! Most of these kids birthdays come and go with no recognition, gifs or cakes, so RFKC throws a massive birthday party to celebrate all the kids during Camp in August! We’re looking forward to another fun night of serving together!
