Sacred Space. The best way to describe what happened at the Women’s Spring Brunch this past weekend is in those two words. Sacred. Space. Shauna Niequist, author of Cold Tangerines, Bittersweet, and Bread and Wine invited a packed out room of women across generations to open their homes, their lives, their hearts and their tables to one another in love. In so doing, we will discover the abundant, authentic, rich and full life that God designed us to live. Recipes from Shauna’s new book were given out to each woman and all were encouraged to create and share a meal with another in the room. What happened in that room felt holy.
Quotes from women who attended:
“Shauna was amazing and the energy and enthusiasm in the room was terrific. I had the opportunity to meet some new people at our table and it was a most enjoyable event.”
“The brunch this morning was a huge success… The speaker was outstanding, the food very good, and I loved the table decorations…they were imaginative, simple and gorgeous!”
“Enjoyed myself so much this morning. It was great to be able to bring my friend of over 50 years and introduce her around. And nice to see all the decorations and spirit of community already in place even before our speaker began her presentation.”
