El Salvador Team Update

August 21, 2014 0 Share

After an early morning departure, the team made it to El Salvador on Saturday afternoon without incident. They drove from the capital to Metalio, a beach community in western El Salvador where they were briefed by our ministry partner, ENLACE. After worshipping and sharing in Sunday service, the team got to work building latrines and investing in relationships with local families. The weather is hot and the work is tiring, but the Holy Spirit is on the move. Lay leader Kerri Kumar shared, “We brought water from the well that was about 1/4 mile away through beautiful country, mixed cement, laid bricks, then did it all over again. It’s very hot. We are all sweating through our clothes all day. The team is awesome. Great conversations, great relationship!”

Please pray for both physical and spiritual health for the team as they work in the summer heat. Pray also that God’s love would shine through them as they seek to improve community health and share the Gospel in word and deed.
