Hannah Shepherd’s Journey
Hannah is a senior at Newport Harbor High School. This is her story about her journey at St. Andrew’s.
“My faith has been pretty strong throughout high school, and it has only gotten stronger. Because of my faith, I have a better understanding of how God wants me to lead my life and I am constantly being guided by Him. Through my relationship with God, I have learned how to love others and walk alongside them in hard times. He has also made me a more forgiving person. The hardest thing about my journey so far has been letting God take full control over my life. The beginning of my senior year was rough because I had no idea what I wanted to do after high school. I had to trust that God had a plan for me and that things were going to work out. For me, this is the hardest thing about being a Christian, because even with God directing my path, everything is still uncertain. Thanks to Cody and all of my other leaders at Refuge, I have been able to put God above everything else. Their stories and talks have been monumental in shaping my faith. I don’t know who I would be without my Refuge family.”
