Bright and early on Sunday mornings, Jack and May Kline opt out of sleeping in and choose instead to serve. Both ushers, Jack and May are at the forefront of embodying our “R.E.A.L” value of Extreme Hospitality. They have been members of St. Andrew’s since 1989 and have served in a variety of ministries over the years, ranging from Adult Ministries to the Deacon Ministry.
When asked why they serve, they simply responded, “We serve because Jesus taught us to do so. We love people and feel blessed when we serve. God moves in us through our ministry as we greet other church friends and we feel happy to see them. We miss some faces when we don’t see them in church, leading us to pray for them which causes us to grow in our faith.”
Ushers and greeters are a vital part of every service, every weekend. They have the privilege of serving God’s people in His church and are the first person to greet long-time members, regular attendees, and guests alike as they walk onto campus to worship.
Is God placing a call on your heart to serve on our hospitality team in this way? We have service opportunities at all worship services. Click Here to learn more about serving as an usher or greeter or email Rachel Stone at firstname.lastname@example.org.
