How you can pray during the process…

  1. For St. Andrew’s:
  • that we would make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3)
  • that as we pray we would expect God to answer in ways far beyond what we can imagine (Ephesians 4:20)
  • that God will use this transition time to strengthen us, build our faith and seek His will
  • that we will maintain an attitude of thanksgiving and joy
  • that we will not allow Satan any footholds to tear us down (Ephesians 4:27)
  • that our staff, leadership, consultants and congregation will be like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind (Philippians 2:2)
  • that our congregation will continue and even increase in the generous giving of their time, talent, and resources
  • that our staff will stay strong and that they will continue to exemplify courage, confidence, stability, and patience
  • that our visiting pastors and our own pastors will be able to continue to spiritually feed our congregation with great joy and godly wisdom
  • that God would prepare the heart of our next pastor and provide clear confirmation of His calling
  1. For the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC):
  • that they each would spend much time in prayer and God’s word as they go through this process of discernment
  • for God’s wisdom and the Holy Spirit’s leading in all that they do
  • that they are truly able to discern God’s will in calling our next senior pastor
  • for spiritual, mental, emotional and physical protection over the committee members and their families
  • for protection from the evil one, allowing nothing to “tear them down”
  • that our four PNC values would be fulfilled:
  • Unity
  • Andrew’s Unique Identity
  • Godly Discernment
  • Hopeful Anticipation
