Rummage Sale 2015 Recap
2015 Rummage Sale Results!
Years of experience and months of planning meetings paid off this past week as the 2015 St. Andrew’s Rummage Sale grossed more than $67,000 to support missions efforts here, near and far. Just as impressive is that approximately 350 people served an estimated 3,200 hours to make the sale a success. Amazing!!
The sale, which ran from May 28-30, was led by a 20-person volunteer leadership team directed by St. Andrew’s very own Martin Taylor. In addition to St. Andrew’s volunteers, members of Teen Challenge Santa Ana, NorthEast of the Well and the Heritage House helped out with all manner of sorting, pricing and heavy lifting. It was undoubtedly a Kingdom effort in service of the Kingdom.
All profits from the sale will be donated to ministry efforts including: promoting student literacy at Whittier Elementary in Costa Mesa; homeless outreach through City Impact in San Francisco; and community development projects in rural El Salvador through ENLACE, among others. More information on these ministries can be found at www.sapres.org/send.
Minister for Send Ministries Dan Wendell said, “This annual event beautifully highlights both the missional heart and heritage of St. Andrew’s. Thanks to all who served and sacrificed their week to reveal God’s goodness.”
