Rummage Sale 2012 Recap

May 21, 2012 2 Comments Share

The 51st annual Rummage Sale was a huge success, thanks to the countless numbers of volunteers who put their time and energy into it. Hundreds of people stepped foot on our campus to see what they could find and many went home with treasures! With the help from many purchases, St. Andrew’s was able to raise over $64,000 for local and global missions. What a blessing!

Wow, I have helped for two years now, but I am totally blown away by how much money we brought in this year. I think the popularity of the sale coupled with facebook advertising pushed it to a new level. It is hard to imagine where it grows to next year. I for one enjoyed making new friends and renewing old friendships during the week.

I think the pictures here are great. Amazing to see the crowds that this Rummage Sale draws! Suggestion: I don’t know if it is possible to show a short video on Sunday following the sale of some of the people that worked; if not, an acknowledgement with either standing in the service or a show of hands would be a another way to acknowledge in a small way for the many hours and hard work that was given for Missions…..just a suggestion.
